Paying Gas Shouldn’t Be a Mystery
Historically, users have paid gas on various networks without fully understanding where those fees go or how they’re handled. We believe it’s time to change that. By providing full transparency, our goal is to make every transaction feel more intuitive. You’ll know precisely when gas is drawn, what network it’s used on, and how GX fits into the equation.
Why This Matters:
- User Empowerment: Greater awareness of how and why fees are incurred
- Cost Optimization: Opportunities to reduce and streamline fees using a single, multi-chain token
- Future-Proofing: Builds the foundation for a seamless move to GX as the platform’s unified payment token
GX as a Unified Gas Token
A core mission of GX is to eliminate the confusion of juggling multiple native tokens across different blockchains. Rather than requiring separate balances for each network’s gas, GX simplifies everything into a single token:
- Consolidated User Experience: Fees across multiple blockchains are covered by GX, removing the need for asset swapping.
- Enhanced Liquidity: By focusing on one token, users experience fewer idle balances and less capital inefficiency.
- Developer-Friendly: A single, consistent gas model helps reduce operational overhead and user support tickets related to gas confusion.
A Token-Driven Economy: Wallet Integration Without Extra Costs
Inspired by certain aggregator-based platforms that provide holistic infrastructure, our approach allows developers to incorporate wallet functionality into their applications without heavy reliance on “wallet-as-a-service” fees. By tapping into the GX-powered economy, builders can integrate:
- Seamless Cross-Chain Payments: Deploy and scale your dApp on multiple networks while letting GX handle all transactional complexities.
- User-Friendly Onboarding: No more long-winded tutorials on bridging or obtaining native tokens.
- Predictable Fee Structures: Budget your project’s growth and operations with a straightforward token economy rather than unpredictable micro-charges.
The end result: a powerful, flexible development environment that removes the friction of multiple wallet providers—at a fraction of the usual cost.
Currently Subsidized: A Test Token Environment
For the past several months, we’ve been operating under a test token system where 100% of gas fees are subsidized. This setup has allowed us to stress-test our unified gas model and gather valuable feedback from early adopters.
Now, as we give the wider community access to see how these transactions really work under the hood, you’ll notice:
- Complete Gas Coverage: You’ll still see “gas” in the interface, but it’s not hitting your balance.
- Transparent Mechanics: All the real behind-the-scenes activity is visible, so you can understand what’s happening when we eventually introduce GX.
We plan to switch from the test token to GX for live gas payments soon after the Token Generation Event (TGE), ensuring a smooth transition for everyone.
Looking Ahead
This unveiling marks a key milestone in delivering a user-centric, developer-friendly, and fully transparent cross-chain experience. As we approach the introduction of GX for real transactions, we’re confident that you’ll find gas payments to be simpler, more predictable, and inherently tied to one efficient token.
Thanks for joining us on this journey—stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to make GX your go-to solution for seamless, multi-chain transactions!
